A Message from the Pastor

Hello all. Thank you for visiting our website. Allow me to introduce our church to you.

We are a fellowship of believers in the small town of West Union in North Central West Virginia. This church was founded in 1899, and it has a rich history of engaging the world with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our motto, “Turning Godward by Turning Outward” is intended to convey our desire to continue to engage the world around us with the Gospel. 

Allow me to explain. We believe that reaching people who don’t know Jesus is the heart of God. God’s desire is for more and more people to know Him through Jesus Christ. In fact, we are told that God will have a people from every country and people group in the entire world (Revelation 5:9). Since God wants everyone to know Him through Christ, we believe that by making evangelism and missions our primary purpose, we are drawing nearer to the heart of God. This is what we mean when we say we are “Turning Godward by Turning Outward.”

I hope you will consider this your invitation to be a part of our small yet growing fellowship of believers. We have ministries for all ages; however, this is not an invitation to be ministered to. Rather, it is an invitation to come and minister in the Name of Jesus Christ.
